Telephone Town Hall on Transportation

Residents tell me all the time they’re fed up with the lack of transit service in Surrey and more needs to be done to solve our transportation issues.  From bus service to rapid transit, road improvements and parking – Surrey has problems that need fixing.

The issues are top of mind right now as summer vacation comes to an end and commuters head back to work, students start university classes, and youth extra-curricular activities kick into high gear.People are spending too much time in their cars.  Our residents deserve better and I believe that creating a reliable and safe urban transportation system is vital to the social and economic success of our city.

Peter Holt, a local transportation advisor and former CEO of the Surrey Board of Trade, will join the discussion to offer his unique perspective on the situation.  Safety and security for transit users is also a pressing concern, so Chief Officer Neil Dubord of the Transit Police will also be on the call.

Please join us for a conversation about transportation in Surrey – It’s a chance for you to ask questions, tell me your concerns and share your ideas.  I will also provide an update on key projects in the city to gather your feedback.
